The panchang — Sanskrit for "five limbs" — is the Hindu calendar that describes a day by its tithi (lunar day), nakshatra (lunar mansion), yoga, karana and vara (weekday). Tithi changes when the Moon moves 12° ahead of the Sun; nakshatra changes as the Moon crosses each 13°20′ arc of the zodiac. These transition moments are universal, and we convert each one into Asia/Manila local time, then derive sunrise-dependent windows from Luzon's own horizon.
